Sometimes I come across pictures of weddings we have worked on in the past while I am researching ideas for a current bride and am reminded all over again how lovely the wedding was.

These photos came from Anna and Mark’s wedding at Ardington House a couple of summers ago. The ceremony took place in the temple in the gardens with a lovely intimate reception for 30 or so family and friends in the dining room.

As the peony season is so short it is always wonderful to be able to use them in a wedding. Anna and Mark used both ivory and pale pink peonies which was lovely and mixed them with roses and sweet peas.

The bridal work was pale and elegant with lily of the valley, mimi eden spray roses and white lisianthus in amongst the peonies for the bridal bouquet. Anna had little mimi eden spray roses in her hair.

The dining tables had large glass cylinder vases filled with hand tied arrangements of peonies, roses, stocks, antirrhinum and alchemilla mollis. Around the edges of the room were silver rosebowls full of fragrant sweet peas.

This was one of the first weddings that we worked on that was photographed by www.barkerevans.com. We have since gone on to work on many weddings together. They are some of the nicest and most creative wedding photographers that I know!
