We are so lucky in Oxfordshire to have a range of stunning stately homes and country houses to work in, including the amazing Ardington House.  We absolutely adore creating beautiful arches and garlands for our clients and the one we created for Abby and Taz’s wedding at Ardington this summer was a definite favourite! A wonderfully wild asymmetric design, with plenty of mixed foliage and soft ivory and blush flowers, it was a really focal feature for their ceremony, which was held on a small island in the grounds at Ardington.

Everything about Abby and Taz’s day was big in scale, from the stunning bouquet we created for Abby to carry, to the tall foliage filled table centres and the oversized hoop above the dance floor.  Every detail was captured brilliantly by photographers Nick and Aimie from Beziique ( www.beziique.com).

The island at Ardington is home to a lovely temple that makes a really romantic backdrop to any ceremony.  Adding the loose foliage filled garland along with clusters of candles and bunches of flowers on the chairs in the aisle finished it all off beautifully.

This wedding was a real family affair with plenty of small flower girls and pageboys to steal the show!

Abby asked us to make her bouquet wild and loose with plenty of mixed foliage so we used several types of eucalyptus along with jasmine trails and thlaspi to compliment the peonies, spray roses, stocks and lysmachia.

For the men, we made buttonholes with ivory roses, spray roses, bouvardia and eucalyptus

The flower girls had simple spray rose crowns and posies.

Abby and Taz’s reception took place in Ardington’s marquee.  Each table had large tumbling arrangements of mixed foliage on tall gold stands with occasional hydrangea heads and blush roses scattered through.  The top table had a long low garland of flowers and foliage.

The cake was displayed on a vintage dressing table with plenty of flowers spilling from the drawers in front and a flower filled hoop sitting just behind it.

The feature piece in the marquee was the gorgeous hoop that we hung over the dance floor ready for Abby and Taz’s first dance !

Thank you Abby and Taz, we loved making all the amazing arrangements for your amazing day and Thank you Nick and Aimie for these great photos.
