Kelly and Ollie’s wedding was full of new things for us. A venue we hadn’t worked at before but fell in love with and some stunning new flowers. Kelly chose a palette of ivory, cream and taupe as the colours for her wedding. As it was November, the flower choices can be narrower than at other times of the year so we had to get our thinking caps on and came up with a mix that included beautiful taupe quicksand roses, amazing scabiosa bitterball seed heads which are a wonderful soft brown and really textured along with soft green succulents, cream David Austin roses and lisianthus. We even managed to source some ivory lilac which isn’t usually available at this time of the year but looked stunning.
Kelly wore an amazing lace covered dress and had a cathedral length veil with a thick lace border. She looked stunning. We provided stems of white lisianthus for Kelly’s hair.
In the ceremony room we placed two urns on either side of the registrars table which had been filled with a spire of twisted willow and wired rose and lisianthus heads.
On the table were three silver pumpkin vases filled with a mixed arrangement of roses, succulents and lisianthus. Following the ceremony we moved these to the top table.
As well as the adult bridesmaid Kelly had a lovely flower girl complete with flower circlet.
Following the ceremony and drinks reception the wedding breakfast took place next door in the elegant wood panelled dining room. Each table had a tall silver candelabra with a ball of flowers including quicksand and avalanche roses, ivory lisianthus, white lilac, succulents, scabiosa bitterball seed heads, leucadendron, hypericum berries and foliage. The room looked lovely with the glow from all the candles.
We loved this wedding. It was great to work at a new venue and Kelly and Ollie were such a happy and easy to couple to work with. A wonderful wedding!
